We define currency allocation independently of underlying asset classes, e.g. the target currency exposure is a function of the portfolio-base currency.We consider equity allocation as the key risk determinant.Cash levels are kept to the minimum level needed for portfolios to be managed. Equity allocation is the key determinant of risk and return. Other building blocks are defined by relative weighting and scaling.
