Quintet Switzerland, a member of Quintet Private Bank, announced today the appointment of André Del Piero as Market Head, Domestic Switzerland.
Drawing upon 30 years of industry experience – including most recently as Head of UHNWI & Single-Family Offices for the German Speaking Region at BNP Paribas Wealth Management (Switzerland) – Del Piero will build a world-class team of client advisors focused on serving Swiss resident clients and their families.
Del Piero previously served at Credit Suisse (Switzerland) as Head of Premium Clients for the Mittelland region and member of the Regional Executive Committee. In a previous position, he was Managing Director of a single-family office based in Switzerland. He also served at UBS Wealth Management, where he focused on Swiss HNWI clients. Del Piero has years of experience providing strategic advice and solutions to wealthy families and family offices.
Having served at some of the world’s largest wealth managers and at family offices, I was attracted by Quintet’s culture of partnership and relentless focus on delivering excellent client experience.
A Swiss national, Del Piero wrote his doctoral thesis at the University of Gloucestershire on the topic “How family offices decide." He holds a Master’s degree in Corporate Finance from the Swiss University of Applied Sciences in Zurich. He is also a graduate of the Swiss Finance Institute Executive Program Zurich and holds a degree as a certified banking expert from Swiss law.
“André is a driven, experienced individual whose knowledge of the Swiss market is second to none,” said Emmanuel Fievet, CEO of Quintet Switzerland, which opened for business in May 2020 and boasts family office capabilities and a multi-booking approach.
“André knows what it takes to earn a seat at the table and insists that every client deserves genuinely independent advice,” Fievet added. ”He is passionate about doing the right thing – and not just the easy thing – for each client he serves. I am very happy he is joining our team.”
“Quintet Switzerland is not just the country’s newest private bank; it is also a different kind of private bank,” said Del Piero. “Having served at some of the world’s largest wealth managers and at family offices, I was attracted by Quintet’s culture of partnership and relentless focus on delivering excellent client experience. I look forward to serving alongside my new colleagues – and growing our domestic business, one client at a time.”
Quintet Switzerland has significant ambitions for the country’s highly competitive domestic market, home to some 500,000 millionaires. Whether serving clients in Switzerland, across Europe or abroad, Quintet Private Bank combines the agility that comes with smaller size and broader resources, insight and reach. The firm operates in 50 cities spanning Europe – including Copenhagen, where Quintet Danmark opened for business earlier this month.
